Sock Shakers!
To begin get 4 to 6 pairs of socks. Partially
fill one sock from each pair with noisy items such as, pebbles, rice, pasta,
Lego blocks, peas etc. After tie a knot in the top. Lay the other socks down
with the items laid on top as shown below. This will give clues to your child
when guessing. Next ask your child to pick one of the socks with items inside.
Can they shake it up and down and guess what is inside?
What can you hear?
Encourage your child to speak in full sentences. For example,
'I can hear a.....'
'I think it is a....'
'I can hear the....'
