This week the children have loved learning about different birds they may see in Britain. We looked at atlases and world maps to locate where we live. They learnt names of different birds and linked it to previous learning. We have learnt about Owls whilst reading owl babies and last week we learnt lost of facts about penguins. The children have thought of ways to look after our birds in the school ground by making bird feeders. We’ve also been on a bird watch in the school ground and saw magpies, blackbirds, crows, robins, land gulls, kites and sparrows.
