Autumn Scavenger Hunt

Autumn days are here which is a perfect time for walking. Why not go on an autumn scavenger hunt and see what autumn treasures you and your child can find. This could be from the local park or woods. There so much to find this time of year, however, if you’re stuck for ideas, here’s a few things you could ask them to find in an Autumn scavenger hunt.

Mix and match the following, as appropriate for your walk. (Tip: take a bag with you as they will probably want to take their finds home!)

  • 10 acorns
  • 10 acorns still in their cups
  • Sycamore seeds
  • 5 pine cones
  • 5 different shaped leaves
  • 5 conkers
  • A sweet chestnut and a horse chestnut (see below for help!)
  • Different types of feather
Could you share some of the special treasures you find the first week back so that we can explore and investigate.

Have a wonderful half term!
